September 24, 2009

The 2009-2010 IMPACT team has been selected.  The leadership group will begin the year by organizing Red Ribbon Week for the PK-5 students.  Red Ribbon Week is an awareness week to encourage drug-free and healthy living.  The IMPACT team will be responsible for planning awareness activities and publicizing that.

This year's team consists of both 4th and 5th grade students:

5th Grade:  Alec, Cameron, William, Ian, Alli, James, Jericho, Janessa

4th Grade:  Peter, Kiauna, Phillip, Saige, McKelvie, Miles, Payton

Mrs. Headrick, IMPACT sponsor, is looking forward to the school year with this group of students.  They will attend three workshops designed to teach and foster leadership skills.  In addition to that, they will be asked to play a leadership role in several activities during the year.
